Meet Bear – Our Program Stud

Bear is the prized stud at Cariboo Aussies in 100 Mile House, BC. A double-registered Australian Shepherd (AKC, CKC), he was carefully chosen for his calm, loving, and confident temperament, as well as his medium drive—a perfect balance of energy and companionship.

When I had the pleasure of keeping Bear for a week to breed with Ruby, I was blown away by his affectionate nature. He was a gentle, quiet, and eager-to-please cuddle bug, making him an absolute joy to have around.

Beyond his temperament, Bear plays an important role in my breeding program. I am always striving to enhance the Australian Shepherd genetic influence to emphasize the qualities I love most—intelligence, eagerness to learn, a strong partnership drive, and the ability to assess situations independently.

And of course, Bear is absolutely stunning. Some of his puppies will inherit his striking blue eyes, adding to their natural beauty. Weighing 40 lbs and standing 19 inches tall, we can expect his puppies to have a similar build.
