Pippin, came out of Chasin Tail’s Aussies in Alberta and is standing at stud at Heart Lake Australian Shepards. I was impressed by this breeder and, of course, Pippin and those of his puppies I had seen. He is a CHIC registered American Australian Shepard (aka Miniature Australian Shepard). I chose Pippin as the stud, given the many traits and temperament he shares with Ruby. I also wanted to increase the Australian Shepard genetic component to gain more of the non-working Australian Shepard qualities I love. Futher more, Pippin is smaller in stature and finer boned so the puppies should be on the smaller side and mature to be between 35 and 45 lbs and 19 to 21 inches in height. The puppies will have similar temperaments as their parents.
