THE VALUE OF OUR PUPPIES

We invest a lot into the health and well-being of our puppies before they are even born. Mom is fed premium dog food and raw meaty bones, supplemented with fish oil, kelp and Breeder’s Edge before breeding. She is also given herbal Gestamate during pregnancy and Oxy Momma from birth to weaning. Both parents are health tested and cleared by the vet for breeding.

From birth, these puppies are in our home and handled daily for many hours, by myself, my husband, and my 10 and 12-year-old sons.

We perform Early Neurological Stimulation and follow a Puppy Culture Program. At 7 weeks the puppies undergo Temperament Testing to help us to understand their disposition and find the best fit for homes.

Every puppy in the litter receives the same intensive handling, social exposure and specific training as puppies selected for service dog training and certification. Our pricing reflects the extensive time and effort we invest into our puppies’ development, early training and socialization that sets them apart from most other puppies you’ll meet at 9 weeks of age.

PRICE

Before reserving a puppy, applicants must provide information about their home, schedule, lifestyle, breed knowledge and ability to provide a suitable, forever home for one of our puppies.

Upon approval, a $500 non-refundable deposit is collected to reserve a puppy. We work with new families to find the puppy that is the best fit. This deposit is applied to the total cost of the puppy. The total cost of a puppy is $2500 and is due at pick up. Payment is accepted via e-transfer or cash.

New families are welcome to Facetime with their puppy or visit in person, Updated photos and videos are regularly posted on the litter’s “Ruby & Pippin’s Puppies” Facebook Page. You can click the Facebook icon at the top.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM OUR PUPPIES

When you bring home one of our puppies at 9 weeks of age, you can expect them to be practicing and possibly mastering the following:

  • Potty training ( Litter trained and started outside)

  • Introduction to Leash training (started at 7 weeks)

  • Sitting quietly to receive attention and to be fed ( started at 4 weeks)

  • Learning basic commands- come, sit, lay down (started at 5 weeks)

  • Crate training (introduced at 4 weeks with time crated suitable for puppy’s age)

In addition to early obedience training and extensive social exposure, the price of each puppy includes:

  • Vet health checked with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming.

  • A puppy starter kit with a snuggle blanket smelling of mom and litter mates, collar, start bag of puppies kibble and poop bags.

  • 4-weeks of complimentary pet insurance

  • A 1-year health guarantee for hereditary health issues (subject to conditions detailed in health guarantee contract )
